Lecturer Biography:

Dr Stephen Sandler, PhD, DO, FECert, is a distinguished figure in the field of Osteopathy. Graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 1975, he has been actively involved in instructing various aspects of osteopathy for over 45 years. His teaching has taken him to 22 countries worldwide.

Alongside his educational contributions, Dr Sandler has authored textbooks, including the notable “Osteopathy and Obstetrics.” Beyond academia, he has been a Senior Lecturer at the University College of Osteopathy in London from 1975 to 2017 and in 1980, he founded the Expectant Mother’s Clinic. Dr Sandler’s commitment to advancing osteopathic knowledge extends to serving as the external examiner for Anglia Ruskin University, overseeing the London School of Osteopathy.

Until 2019, he also held the position of Consultant Osteopath at The Portland Hospital for Women and Children in London, UK. Currently, Dr Stephen Sandler balances his roles as a dedicated educator and practitioner, running a successful private practice while continuing to share his extensive expertise globally.

Seminar indicative content:

The course will encompass essential aspects of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology pertaining to both the male and female pelvis. It will incorporate practical components involving structural, myofascial, visceral, and cranial approaches. This comprehensive approach will enable students to address appropriate conditions and explore pelvic issues that may impact somatic structures.

  • To integrate diverse osteopathic techniques, acknowledging that myofascial, visceral and cranial approaches are not separate entities but integral components of an inclusive osteopathic treatment.
